I agree SEO is extremely important. In fact we build and submit site maps daily to Google, Bing, Yahoo & Ask :) Also if you look at the bottom of the front forum page you will see we are now also showing what spiders are on the system currently. Given we grow to a few thousand then we are back at square one with a very laggy system. We really tried to come up with a solution as we knew the URL change was really not going to win any fans but in the end everyhting we did took a performance hit and if we grew the performance hit grew as well.
